PROJECT PROCESS & TIMELINE

This is an estimated timeline and process. It may change or evolve depending on the project.

  • Before starting a company's branding, I expect the client to communicate clearly and a have deep understanding of their vision, values, and target audience. It's important for clients to provide insight into their goals, preferences, and any existing brand assets or ideas they have. This will make the design process smoother and start in a good place.

Additionally, I look for a willingness to trust the creative process, while maintaining a focus on staying authentic to their business's identity and purpose. This foundation ensures that the branding will resonate with their audience and align with their long-term objectives.

  • Once a client contracts me about getting something started the first thing I send them is a questionnaire. It asks the client questions like what their business does, is there a unique story to their business, and who their target audience is. It also has them make a mood board of what their vision is for the branding of their company, and about elements they may or may not like.

This helps define a clearer vision as to what they are looking for before we ever hop into a meeting. Leading to less revisions and a smoother process.

  • After the questionnaire is filled out, we will schedule a brand meeting. During the brand meeting, we dive deep into understanding the core of the business—its mission, vision, values, and the story behind it. We discuss the target audience and what makes the brand stand out in its industry. I’ll ask questions to uncover the brand's personality, tone, and messaging goals, as well as any visual preferences or inspiration the client has in mind. We’ll also talk about any existing brand elements that should be preserved or evolved. The meeting is a collaborative space for open dialogue, feedback, and brainstorming, setting the stage for a clear direction as we move forward with the branding process.

  • Once the brand meeting is over and it’s clear what the client is wanting, I will send them a contract. In this contract it goes over services we agreed on, price and payment schedule, timeline, and a few terms of our agreement.

THIS NEEDS TO BE SIGNED AND SENT BACK TO ME BEFORE I MOVE FORWARD ON ANY BRANDING ELEMENTS!

  • Once the contract is signed, I will get started on branding concepts. I will come up with two ideas of where we could go with the branding, while keeping them both aligned with the ideas and values we discussed in the brand meeting. This will include logos, colors, and design elements for both ideas.

Once these options are completed I will send the two concept ideas to the client in a short presentation.

  • Once the client has looked over the two branding concepts I’ve sent them, then they will let me know which option they would like to move forward with or if they want me to come up with one more idea. Then the client will give me feedback about what they may like or dislike about this concept, either over email or a zoom call. Where they will let me know how they would like to move forward with the branding for their business.

Once I receive all the feedback about the first presentation, I will start the first revision. Each one of my branding packages include 3 revisions. Once those revisions have been used, the client and I will assess where we are in the branding process. Whether that be we are done and have a final product, or still need more time to get the clear vision of what the client is looking for.

  • By this point, we’ve refined every aspect of the branding—from the logo and color palette to typography, messaging, and visual identity—based on feedback and iterations. I present the final assets to the client, ensuring they align with their goals and resonate with their target audience. We’ll review everything to make sure the brand feels authentic, consistent, and ready to be rolled out across various platforms and touchpoints. The final product should feel like a reflection of the company’s identity, setting them up for success as they move forward with their marketing and communication strategies.

How the final brand elements are presented to the client depends on the package they purchased. Every package includes various file types of their logos. All the files and design elements that were created will be put into a google folder, where the client will have access to them at all times.
